Andrew Demese Gillum (born July 26, 1979) is an American politician. He has been the Mayor of Tallahassee, Florida from the years 2014 to 2018.

At the age of 23, Gillum became the youngest person ever elected to the Tallahassee City Commission in February 2003.[1][2]

On August 28, 2018, Gillum won the Democratic nomination for Governor of Florida when he won the Democratic primary election even though he was losing in the polls. He lost the general election to his Republican opponent Ron DeSantis in the general election.[3]

His campaign for governor has been endorsed by Senator Bernie Sanders.[3]

He was once considered by Hillary Clinton to be her Vice President choice after an email hack released a list of possible picks.[4]
